• Puthupally Raghavan Memorial Public Lecture was delivered by Dr. Shahid Amin, Delhi University, on ‘The marginal jotter: revisiting native agency and the generation of a colonial archive’ on August 27th 2011 at the Fourth Estate Hall at 4.30 pm. KCHR Chairman presided.

• Due to unforeseen reasons, the British Academy sponsored international workshop on ‘Pattanam Ceramics’ in the series on “Indian Ocean exchange and the archaeology of technology” scheduled for Sept 2011 stands postponed to Sept 2012.

• The latest publications of KCHR are George Gheverghese Joseph (Ed) Kerala Mathematics : History and its possible transmission to Europe; ‘Dr Kesavan Veluthat (Ed) Mahishashathakam (Mal); KCHR Annual Report 2009-‘10 ; and Pattanam Excavation Field Report 2011.
